The Windancer 2.0 KNX sec weather station for the KNX building bus system measures temperature, wind speed and brightness and detects precipitation.

Wind measurement with a stable cup anemometer (up to 200 km/h in laboratory conditions), wind measurements in m/s, km/h and Beaufort units.

Brightness measurement (current illumination). Measurement with 3 separate sensors (east, south, west). Separate thresholds for night.

Precipitation detection: The sensor surface heats up so that only drops and flakes are recognized as precipitation, but not fog or dew. When the rain or snow stops, the sensor soon dries out again and the precipitation warning ends.

Simple control of roller shutters and blinds can be implemented using threshold values and associated switching outputs. For this purpose, up to three brightness threshold values are defined for each compass direction (east/south/west).

All threshold values can be set using parameters or communication objects.

Presetting of live data: the current measured value can be set as a limit value via a communication object (wind, temperature, brightness).

The location query (northern/southern hemisphere) controls the correct output of brightness values in the east and west.

8 logical AND and 8 OR functions, each with 4 inputs. All switching events as well as 16 logical inputs (in the form of communication objects) can be used as inputs for logical gates. The output of each gate can be optionally configured as 1-bit or 2 x 8-bit.
