The Windancer 2.0 GPS KNX sec weather station for the KNX building bus system measures temperature, wind speed and brightness and detects precipitation.

In the ETS application, all values can be used to control threshold-dependent switching outputs. The states can be linked using the logical functions AND and OR. Special functions for shading control simplify the setup of complex facade automation. On up to 8 facades, shading is controlled according to the brightness and position of the sun and is also protected from wind, frost and possibly rain.

The time and geographical position are obtained via the integrated GPS receiver and the sun's position (azimuth and altitude) is calculated from them. This data is used for the integrated timers and automatic shading system, allowing precise, astronomical control of sun protection without the need for manual position configuration.
